Larger displacement gas powersports engines need larger volumes of clean dust-free air into the carburetor in order to produce the horsepower that you want when on the track or trail. This big filter does a superlative job in keeping the dust and crud out of your carb, resulting in better horsepower and smoother running.
Note: This filter assembly includes a stack. This is the large machined alloy ring with a beveled inside diameter that fits into the rubber base of the filter. When mounting this filter assembly, always make sure that the wider end of the hole is inside of the filter and the smaller or narrower end of the hole is on the carburetor side. When properly mounted, the stack functions as a venturi, smoothing the air flow into the carburetor and likewise smoothing the engine’s running.
